We had the pleasure of going backstage for J.Crew’s very first fashion show during New York Fashion Week at the tents at Lincoln Center. The backstage area was bustling with fresh faces from Vasilisa Povlova to Li Ming decked out in perfect ponytails and matte pastel lipstick in pinks and oranges. We immediately found Betty Adewole filling up on coffee, although she showed up backstage before 6am, she looked perfectly rested. What’s her secret? “A little moisturizer goes a long way!” She is currently obsessing over Kiehl’s Ultra Moisturizer.
The collection was full of J.Crew’s signature preppy basics in khaki and white punctuated by pastel yellows and pinks. We were in love with the selection of sequined tees which were available in every sleeve length and color.
