Pretty in Poland: Rachel Khona of Q Models Reports from Poland

For the next few days, Modelinia is proud to present guest blogger, Rachel Khona, a model booker at Q Models, who will be reporting on her current scouting experience in Poland! Stay tuned as she shares her findings and details about the experience.

Hey guys! It’s Rachel, from Q Models. I’m here in Warsaw, the first stop on my Polish scouting extravaganza. I just checked into Hotel La Regina in old city Warsaw. The old city is beautiful and with the cobblestone streets and baroque pastel buildings, it looks postcard perfect.

Poland is a great place to find new talent. In fact Q’s very own Izabella Miko (above, of Coyote Ugly fame) is from Poland. Although Eastern Europe is known more for its beautiful girls, I am hoping to find some cute boys too. And with nineteen local agencies in three different towns, I’m bound to find some fresh new faces for both our boards!

I have four agencies to visit tomorrow including Avant, Orange, Rebel, and Mango models. Between the four of them, their models have appeared in the MaxMara campaign, Harper’s Bazaar, Italian Vogue, Numero Homme, and Dazed and Confused to name a few. Sounds like I’m off to a good start!

To show the agencies what we’ve been up to at Q, I brought a magazine promo showcasing some of Q’s latest finds including Yuliya D (Paul Smith campaign), Max Krieger (Topshop), Pedro Frizon (Dior exclusive), and twins Alice and Andreia (L’Officiel Brasil).

After meeting with each agency team, I’ll sit down to meet their new faces one-on-one. I’ll take a look at their book (otherwise known as portfolio), snap some digitals, take one of their comp cards, and have a little chat with them to see how personable they are. Personality is important! No matter how beautiful you are, you have to be able to sell yourself. When I’m finished meeting all the lovelies, I’ll wrap things up with the agents and head out to my next appointment.

It’s a beautiful day outside, so now I’m off to explore Warsaw before gearing up for tomorrow. Wish me luck!

xoxo,

Rachel
