Taking a moment to reflect and realize just how lucky we are in life is extremely important. Especially in today’s world where so much is taken for granted and not everyone is fortunate enough to receive the same chances or opportunities.
Julie Henderson opened up to the world on her blog about a one-year anniversary that affected her greatly—an accident that could have changed her life forever. On August 25, 2008, she fell off a balcony, which lead to an air lift to the hospital, and physical therapy that taught her the bone she broke in her neck “was ‘the one bone you can break a hundred times and not have permanent damage.’”
From her terrifying experience, Julie has learned the importance of the small moments in life and just what is important. “I think that my second chance at life has taught me to try harder to share my positive, happy energy and I hope that I can put a smile on others faces,” she writes.
