Today is Election Day and we couldn’t be more excited! It’s one of those days where you can get up bright and early, sip some coffee and interact with your community the old-fashioned way— without Twitter and Facebook that is.
The fashion world is no stranger to politics, and its queen, Anna Wintour has made her push for Obama with massive fundraising efforts over the last few months. It’s not news that Vogue is Team Obama as the stylish First Lady graced the cover of the fashion mag back in 2009, only days after arriving to the White House.
Under Wintour’s Runway to Win initiative, fashionistas and celebs like Beyonce, Sarah Jessica Parker and Chanel Iman created Obama inspired goods including everything from baby onesies to backpacks. If you’re not looking to wear your candidate on your shirt for all to see, don’t worry, because designer Rachel Roy has also created a tee adorned with the simple message to “Vote!”
Whether choosing to voice their opinion, or not, fashion industry all-stars have taken to Twitter to remind all Americans how incredibly luck we are to vote, and how important it is to play a part in the democratic election . So forget any of the negativity you may have witnessed during this campaign and show your American spirit with these red, white and blue style picks. We’re particularly fond of those stars and stripes nail wraps. Check them out below!
