Two of fashion’s biggest and most notable campaigns, Givenchy and Chanel, are rumored to be making the big ol’ model switch-a-roo. After serving as the face/muse of Givenchy since 1997, Mariacarla Boscono is supposedly being replaced by Brazilian glamazon Gisele Bündchen. We knew something was in the works when we saw Gisele take the runway at the designer’s Spring 2012 runway and since she’s been the face of Givenchy in the past (she did a series of ads for the Italian brand in 2000), it would make sense for her to work with Tisci again.
Longtime Chanel muse, Freja Beha Erichsen, is also apparently being replaced by Joan Smalls and Saskia de Brauw who opened the designer’s collection this past fashion week. We’re sure this won’t be the end of Lagerfeld and Freja’s designer-model love affair, but we’re excited about the new additions to the Chanel family.
