Runway Recap: Mulberry Gets Playful for Spring 2013!

What’s not to love about a designer collection that was inspired by ice pop colors and enlisted the help of a fluffy pooch for its runway show? For London Fashion Week Spring 2013, Mulberry presented a sweet lineup featuring luxe leather and whimsical ’60s inspired floral prints that would have had Willie Wonka jumping with joy.  With garden gnomes and plush grass surrounding the London runway, audience members— Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, and Lana del Rey sat front row!— were transported to an enchanting English garden that was full of pastel colored tweed coats and long, floral printed dresses done with appliques and ruffles at the sleeves.  Even edgier looking leather biker jackets and tailored pant suits were treated with the same feminine grace as the  floral offerings with the added gold flower-shaped metal buttons.  When it came down to beauty, models Kinga Rajzak, Alana Zimmer, Anais Pouliot, and Sara Blomqvist sported pink candy-stained lips and playful swept back braided ponytails that paired well with the brand’s uplifting spring collection.
