Runway Report: 60's Inspired Winged Liner Backstage At Cushnie et Ochs!

Earlier today, we headed backstage to sneak peak the beauty and hair looks at Cushnie et Ochs before the models hit the runway.  Right away, we spotted Fashion Week regulars Daga Ziober— who opened the show—  and Isabella Melo, who were getting the finishing touches put on their straight, slicked back strands.  The Maybelline crew took some inspiration from the 60’s cat-eyes, applying winged black liquid liner to the girls’ lids.  The skin was kept dewy and minimal, while colorful clips were added to blown back tresses for a playful touch.

Once the lights hit the stage, guests — including Kate Bosworth sitting in the front row — were treated to clean, minimal sheath dresses, skirts with translucent hemlines, and lacy blouses.  As per usual, the Cushnie et Ochs girls focused on exquisite tailoring, and added graphic cutouts to nearly every runway look.  The collection’s palette was heavy on head-to-toe white and black ensembles with refreshing pops of aqua and royal blue that reminded us of the alluring color and the soft movement of the ocean’s waves— the perfect image to have in mind when shopping for spring/summer 2013!
