Rag & Bone never fails to disappoint when it comes to model castings, and this year was certainly no different! We went backstage to check out what the boys behind the downtown cool label had in store for us this season, and nearly lost our cool in the process. Among the sea of leggy beauties we quickly spotted South African stunner Candice Swanepoel, who artived in a bohemian style long, knitted vest, followed closely there after by fashion’s sweetheart, Karlie Kloss. The two stunners closed the show with their infamous runway walks, as front row guest — and Karlie favorite— Christy Turlington and Gabrielle Union looked on with equal amounts of excitement. Top ranked girls, Jourdan Dunn, Jac, Liu Wen, Daria Strokous, Kinga Rajzak, and Aymeline Valade were also seen passing time backstage with some snacks and tunes.
The beauty look created by Gucci Westman of Revlon highlighted the neutral, dewy complexions that set the stage for the sporty slicked back ‘dos and the all-white nails on each of the girls.
The collection itself was in reference to the famed Paris—Dakar car rally set against a desert backdrop— an image that truly came alive in the Cool moto vests and jackets. Staying true to their strategic method of layering different textures and silhouettes, Marcus Wainwright and David managed to keep their sporty biker gear layered over shirt dresses and oversized shorts from appearing too cluttered. That same fluidity translated into the collection’s color palette, which favored clean whites as a base for hits of electric green and cobalt blue — an electrifying touch to a well-rounded spring collection.
