Runway Report: Lace And Romantic Details At Jill Stuart!

When it comes to Jill Stuart, we’re never left without a plenitude of sophisticated, elegant, 100% wearable pieces, or a quality model cast!  For spring, the designer referenced old Hollywood glamor— suiting considering that actress Rose Bryne sat front row— in assortment of feminine lace frocks and polished trench coats fit for the screen sirens of yesteryear.  While strapless shift and A-line dresses, done in neutral ivory, black, and nude hues, remained soft and romantic, high-waisted satin shorts and bralettes added a femme fatale feel to the otherwise sweet collection.  Not to take away from the flirty flutter sleeves, and sequin numbers, the beauty looks were kept demure.  A dusting of soft rose eyeshadow was applied to on the models’ lids to create a softer smoky eye look.

This season, we were also pleasantly surprised to see a round of new faces hitting the runway for Jill.  Aside from a great showing by the likes of Mirte Maas, Daga Ziober, and Kel Markey, we also spotted a few up and coming stars that have already popped up on our radar following the first round of shows.  Ford model Marine Deleeuw has been on a role these past few days, scooping up the opening spot at BCBG and Rag & Bone, along with Martha Hunt and Elza Luijendijk.  Watch out ladies, we have our eyes on you!
