Thom Browne’s presentation on Monday was like a scene pulled straight from an episode of The Twilight Zone, complete with futuristic ballerinas twirling in the background, and hypnotic black and white swirling platforms for the models to stand on. The collection consisted of oversized, molded tops and blazers paired with knee-length skirts, and topped off with Victorian-style Mary-Janes and tall striped socks. The color palette featured an assortment of preppy grey and white plaids, seahorse and whale prints, and circus colored stripes. Think Mrs. Havisham meets Alfred Hitchcock with these ladylike separates and avant-garde silhouettes. All in all, the designer’s theatrical antics and solid vision made for one spectacular fashion performance!

At the alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet Spring 2013 presentation, guests enjoyed Belgium chocolate ice cream bars and whimsical cocktails with flowers frozen in oversized ice cubes as they gazed at the ethereal collection. Inspired by the 50’s and the American Dream, Bendet gave us a collection that was complete with chic cocktail dresses in metallic finishes, bold prints (head-to-toe leopard was one of our absolute favorites) as well as glamorous gowns complete with romantic sequins. We spotted Abigail Breslin, Elizabeth Moss and Louise Roe enjoying the collection as they rocked out to nostalgic 50’s tunes with the rest of the adoring public.
Jessica Hart was also in attendance and between snapping pictures with adoring fans, we snuck in andasked her a few questions. Stay tuned for her Fashion Week Confidential!

The Chris Benz presentation on Monday was like a street style dream! The collection consisted of layered outfits with unexpected styling such as skirts over wide-leg jeans, and a hexagon-print top over a floral midi-length dress. Not only were the models dressed in mixed prints and pastel tones, but the attendees were dressed in bold looks with a fabulous array of sunnies to block out the bright light coming through Lincoln Center. To top it off, E!’s Fashion Police host Kelly Osbourne, along with Susan Sarandon and Paula Abdul made an appearance to check out this fun presentation by Chris Benz!
