Runway to Red Carpet: The Origins of the 2013 Oscar Red Carpet Looks!

The only thing more thrilling than the sheer star power of the Oscars ceremony is the straight-from-the-runway fashion, and luckily for us there was plenty of that to be found on last night’s red carpet!  There were couture gowns a plenty thanks to mega-watt beauties like Jessica Chastain, Charlize Theron and Zoe Saldana, who opted for custom Armani, Dior and Alexis Mabille for the star-studded affair.  And who could forget the breath-taking strapless, white Dior bridal confection that Jennifer Lawrence literally fell head over heels for as she took to the stage to accept her award for Best Actress.  Miu Miu, Prada and Valentino also had their moment in the sun, popping up on the likes of Kerry Washington, Best Supporting Actress winner Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Aniston.  There was some vintage to be had, but on the whole, Hollywood’s finest couldn’t seem to get enough of the fresh out of the atelier variety, giving us yet another preview of the season’s hottest new trends.  From the slew of strapless stunners, to the heavenly white numbers in between, the Oscar A-listers gave us a lot to consider style wise last night and today we’re reviewing the best of the best, rounding up our favorite dresses from the 85th annual Academy Awards and the runways they appeared on first.  Check out all of the looks below!
