Before beginning her successful modeling career, Sasha Pivovarova spent her days studying art history and studio art. Along with illustrating books for Karl Lagerfeld and Miuccia Prada, Sasha recently teamed up with GapBody to create a line of sleepwear. “I’ve always wanted to do something with clothes,” Sasha said in the December issue of Vogue. Pulling inspiration from 20th Century Russian artist Ivan Bilivin, French painter Gustave Moreau and imagery of flowers, women, and fairytales, Sasha whipped together 50 whimsical drawings, five of which were used for the collaboration. Could this be a new career path for the artist turned model turned textile designer?
The collection is currently available at GapBody and on Gap.com with prices ranging from $19.95-$34.95.
