All the major cities in the world have Fashion Week events, from the major runway experiences in the fashion capitals of New York, London, Milan, and Paris to the newer, more independent shows in Baltimore, New Jersey, and more.
Now Grand Cayman Island is getting in on the fashion festivities and celebrating their first major fashion event, called Cayman Fashion Solstice! During the first weekend of November, the Ritz-Carlton will host a deluge of models and editors for runway event, hosted by Cayman’s own Selita Ebanks! “I’m super excited to be apart of the first fashion week in Cayman,” she told Modelinia. “I hope it inspires a whole new movement of fashion, whether it’s inspiring designers or models. I would love to see more Caymanians be apart of an amazing industry. I love my home.”
In addition to the professional models who will strut down the Caymanian runway, model hopefuls from the island will have a chance to show off their catwalk skills - in the presence of Cayman’s most famous model. Talk about a major fashion moment.
