Up until this past February, the status of Shalom Harlow’s modeling career, for the most part, was “retired.” But then the Canadian cover girl stepped out on Alexander Wang’s Fall 2012 runway alongside other runway vets like Hilary Rhoda and Gisele Bündchen, and that status has since seemed to change. She graced the coveted Stella McCartney Evening Wear catwalk, posed for Banana Republic’s Mad Men campaign, shot a fashion film with Cartier, and has been featured in numerous editorials including ones for Interview Magazine and Allure.
In a recent interview with Alexander Wang Confessional, Shalom opens up about her return to the runway, what it was like growing up in Toronto with “hippie parents,” and what it was like to be scouted by a model agent at a Cure concert. She just got ten times cooler in our book.
