Mercedes-Benz Brand Ambassador, Milla Jovovich

While high tea and decorated hats are generally saved for English country mansions and polo matches, Mercedes-Benz invited guests to the Lincoln Center for an afternoon of high tea with brand ambassador and face of Fashion Week, Milla Jovovich. “I’ve always been such a fan, like everyone, of the Mercedes brand,” said Milla. “It really represents the ultimate in luxury, elegance, style. So I was honored to be the face of the campaign and of Fashion Week. Plus, the fact that I’m working with two really great friends of mine - Philip Treacy and Miles Aldridge - was an added benefit. Being on set was like being with great friends while expressing yourself.”

Despite the fact that no hot tea was actually served, mini sandwiches and sweet offerings were passed around the glassed-in space, along with green tea bellinis and champers. Little white bunnies decorated floors and tables as a compliment to the campaign, which was shot by Miles Aldridge and pairs over the top colors with a massive hat by Philip Treacy. And while Milla may be the face of the campaign, she still had to fight with her feathered hat for visibility. “It was funny on set because the hat was so insane I had to think, ‘What am I going to do to break through this hat?’ When I first put it on, the feathers were completely covering my face, and I was like, ‘Philip, you have to do something about this; it’s not working. They actually need me in the campaign - not just the hat.’ So [during the photoshoot] he was cutting the feathers around my face like he was giving me a trim.” ~ Bianca Posterli
