Yesterday’s Marchesa show was one breathtaking gown after the other, leaving guests practically speechless as models Toni Garrn, Alana Zimmer, Jourdan Dunn, Jacquelyn Jablonski and Siri Tollerød took the runway. Frederic Fekkai stylist Renato Campora created a braided up-do on the models, showing off their elegant necklines and highlighting designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig’s magnificent dresses.
The collection was composed of luscious fabrics including silk taffeta, tulle, chiffon, lace, and feathers; essentially everything you could ever want in a ball gown. “This is the kind of collection that girls dream of,” Siri told us backstage. “You feel like you’re ready to go on the red carpet when you wear [Marchesa].”
And speaking of red carpets, allow us to be the first to say that this year’s Academy Awards will be a serious let down if at least one of these Marchesa gowns doesn’t make an appearance.
