As a celebration of their 30th anniversary special and ‘The Define Yourself Issue,’ i-D magazine chose a selection of cover girls, mixing newer faces with well established models, to end up with a grouping that includes Joan Smalls, Liya Kebede, Daisy Lowe, Kristen McMenamy, Malgosia Bela, and Lindsey Wixson.
The juxtaposition provides for an interesting mash-up of styles. While Kristen, Malgosia, and Liya’s covers are regal and simply elegant, Lindsey and Daisy’s take a youthful tone to match their age, and Joan’s shows the continuation of her high fashion takeover.
While only 6 lucky girls made the cover, a multitude of models are inside the glossy, including Karolina Kurkova, Noémie Lenoir, Lara Stone, Eva Herzigova, Tatiana Cotliar, Agyness Deyn, Natasha Poly, and Lily Donaldson, as well as a special tribute to Corinne Day.
