During Fashion Week last September, models including Coco Rocha, Jessica White, Michelle Alves, and Lisalla Montenegro stomped all over Manhattan as part of the Nine West Runway Relief charity initiative, wearing special Nine West boots with a pedometer attached.
Their runway worthy walks raised so much money that Modelinia and Nine West decided to team up for the second year in a row to continue to raise money for CFDA Targets Breast Cancer! This season, the initiative is expanding thanks to the assistance of a fresh set of models: Carolyn Murphy, Chrissy Teigen, and more. Between walking to castings, parties, and trekking around the city, over 40 models will count their steps in the boots, with Nine West’s promise to donate $1/mile to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.
While the premiere season saw Nigel Barker on the streets of the Meatpacking District, Nine West decided to move into the studio to focus on the global impact of the charity. Modelinia hung out on set to watch Chrissy, Carolyn, Jasmine Tookes, and more stomp their way across the set for Nigel, while celeb stylist Leslie Fremar, deconstructed the specially designed limited edition tank tops she designed to pair with the boots.
