Street Parties in Soho

On Fashion’s Night Out, the streets of New York City were jam packed with fashion devotees, and Soho boasted by far the most rambunctious crowd of revelers.  Thousands of people bustled in and out of the stores and boutiques, taking full advantage of the doors staying open way past their normal hours by shopping the night away. Modelinia hit up the stylish Soho neighborhood, doing our best to scope out the scene where all the top models were hanging out.

First up was Derek Lam, where hostesses Hilary Rhoda and Maryna Linchuk were helping the designer to welcome guests. Maryna showed off her gorgeous knee-length black sequin cocktail dress, which we were positively gushing over. She happily struck a pose for us next to a six and a half foot tall mannequin that she jokingly referred to as “my friend.” Decked out in her high-heel black booties, Maryna managed to come close to its towering height. Guests sipped on cocktails and Evian while admiring the stunning designs - and yes, there was a perpetual line at the back of the store where a fun photo booth was positioned.

Next, we hopped over to Intermix, which was jam-packed with guests from wall to wall. Colorful candy colored lights backlit the clothing racks against the walls in vibrant pinks, yellows, and greens. The DJ spun modern remixes of retro tunes, which further emphasized the party’s fun, carefree vibe. Hostess Daisy Lowe was amongst the guests, sipping champagne, goofing around with her close friends, and genuinely having a total blast. She looked effortlessly chic, as usual, in dark skinny jeans, a simple white tee, cherry red pumps, and a bold scarlet lip. ~ Elizabeth Westlake
