The question of the evening was, “Just who lives here?” For Style.com’s 10th anniversary, editors, models, and guests took over a massive, lavish townhouse on Lafayette Street, complete with an indoor pool, five stories, a rooftop garden, and enough space to fit most of the fashion industry. Models including Alana Zimmer, Siri Tollerod, Carolyn Murphy, Edita Vilkeviciute, Irina Lazareanu, Aminata Niaria with Sophie Theallet, Anja Rubik, Madisyn Ritland with Zac Posen, Jeisa Chiminazzo, and Petra Nemcova came out to support the website’s arrival into double digits, along with designers including Charlotte Ronson, Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung, Chris Benz, Monique Pean, Yigal Azrouel, Richard Chai, and Vera Wang.
While some chose to take in the cool evening upstairs on the outdoor grotto, others were marveling at the model mermaids frolicking in the pool, dressed in Marchesa gowns. Madisyn, who was hand in hand with Zac, gushed over the highlights of her week, saying, “I would say getting handpicked by Zac Posen was pretty great - as was walking in Rodarte.” In a juxtaposition of lives, she’ll be catching up on her homework after Fashion Week, but expressed her love for Style.com, saying, “I love how quick they are. The night of or the morning after I’m looking to see what show I did, what show I didn’t do, which girls did it. It’s so quick and instant and has everything you want to see!”
Her sentiments were also shared by Siri and Alana, who are off to the Europe shows soon and hoping for business class seats on the plane to catch a moment of rest. As soon as the pair returns to New York though, they’re setting off on a culinary adventure. “We’re going to take cooking classes together! It’ll be a bit of everything. We just think it’ll be fun - to try something we’ve never done before!”
Champagne in hand, guests toasted the success and anniversary of Style.com, and for those who made it late into the evening, they were well rewarded with a surprise performance by Robyn!
