Maybe it’s the new haircut or the eyeglasses, but we love this super chic and smart look on Karlie Kloss, so much so that it is our Look of the Week! Spotted out at Tuesday night’s Ninth Annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards, Karlie’s minimal and classic ensemble stole the show. Karlie paired her white Cushnie et Ochs blouse and skirt with black pointed heels, a black clutch, CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award nominee (and runner up!) Jennifer Meyer‘s Yellow Gold & Diamond ‘K’ Pendant Necklace and of course some super sexy tortoise shell frames. It didn’t hurt either that Karlie’s date was fellow model, Jourdan Dunn- also in Cushnie et Ochs and matching specs!

From the floral embellishments on the blouse to the sheer bottom of her skirt, it’s the intricate and elegant details of the look that pulls us in like a fine painting. Although we also love seeing Miss. Kloss showing skin on the Victoria’s Secret runway or in a sexy gown on the red carpet, we can’t help but applaud this stylish look. Karlie’s style is definitely evolving and we can’t wait to see more! To get Karlie’s Look of the Week, check out our picks in the slideshow below:

We thought it couldn’t get more glamorous than Milan Fashion Week until we saw photos from amfAR’s 25th Anniversary gala. If there were an Academy Awards equivalent for models, amfAR would be it. Draped in head-to-toe couture, the industry’s biggest models and designers danced the night away at the non-profit organization’s Milan party on Friday, September 23rd at La Permanente. Bar Refaeli, Isabeli Fontana, Constance Jablonski, Izabel Goulart, Natasha Poly, Karlie Kloss, Chanel Iman, Chrissy Teigen, and Heidi Klum were all in attendance working hard and having a blast raising money for the foundation. Many of the girls took to their twitter pages to document the event uploading everything from photos of their stunning gowns to our personal favorite, a picture of Chanel Iman sitting on Heidi Klum’s lap with the caption “Look who fell into my lap!”

Focused around an auction, guests had the opportunity to bid on a number of one-of-a-kind gems including the Bert Stern photograph of Elizabeth Taylor which went for $45,000 and a night’s performance by amfAR supporter John Legend that went for $200,000, and we bet Chrissy will be in attendance too. The night was a total success, giving supporters a night full of fun and dancing, and the setting to raise a grand total of $1.4 million for the AIDS cause.

Relieved to be stepping inside during yesterday’s random downpour, we were delighted to find Frida Gustavsson sitting in hair and make-up backstage at Prabal Gurung. “It’s my only show of the day” she said, a rarity for a model in such high-demand. Eager to reminisce about her summer, Frida shared stories of the couture shoot she did with one of her favorite photographers, Paolo Roversi, for Vogue Italia. “I love working with Paolo and it was amazing to wear all the couture. I really liked this one by Valentino with these beautiful sleeves,” she told us while miming a tightly encompassing sleeve moving up her arm. Continuing on the subject of arm candy, we passed along one of our Swedish flag bracelets designed with nOir Jewelry that she couldn’t wait to wrap around her wrist. “Do you have one for Poland!? I want to give one to Jac!” she said while digging through our bag for a bracelet of red and white. Make sure to get your own Modelinia x nOir Jewelry bracelet on noirjewelry.com, and help raise funds for the crisis in Somalia!

Making our way to the front of the house we bumped into Elettra Wiedemann wearing the USA version of our bracelet and an incredible pair of pants by Prabal Gurung. “I’ve been friends with Prabal for years now so I like to make sure I go to his shows but aside from this I’ll probably be spending most of [Fashion Week] up at Goodness,” she told us of her Fashion Week plans before posing for a mob of photographers dying to get a shot of the supermodel beauty queen.

Pushing through the crowd, we made it to our seat just as Caroline Brasch Nielsen opened the show in a sheer dress decorated with a watercolor-esque purple pattern. The show list consisted of a whopping thirty-eight models such as Alana Zimmer, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Jourdan Dunn, Karlie Kloss, Magdalena Frackowiak, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Lindsey Wixson, Arizona Muse and obviously, Frida Gustavsson who closed the show wearing a floor length gown with tulle detailing.

Combining edgy silhouettes with feminine fabrics like silk, feathers and tulle, this collection was breathtaking – easily one of Prabal’s best yet.

Amidst perhaps one of the biggest swarms of Fashion Week insiders we’ve seen, we miraculously made our way to our seat for Jason Wu’s show yesterday at Center 548. We immediately took note of the ominous looking runway, which was made-up of uneven pieces of white plastic. At first a bit nervous that this could equal a stumble-heavy runway, we then took a look at the show list and our anxiety disappeared. Arizona Muse, Daria Strokus, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Joan Smalls, Siri Tollerød, Ruby Aldridge, Jourdan Dunn, Liu Wen, Ajak, Patricia van der Vilet, and Karlie Kloss are just a mere few of the major girls walking the plastic runway yesterday. Kinga Rajzak opened the show in a clean-cut black and white shorts suit, while Saskia de Braw closed in a floor-length black-and-white gown as elegant as Audrey Hepburn. In a word the entire collection was elegant – made for the classic beauty with an appreciation for flattering silhouettes, beautiful fabric, and exquisite sophistication. We can already imagine seeing the collection on a number of red carpets (the closing three floor-length gowns are destined for the Academy Awards), and predict to see the more everyday pieces on model style icons like Crystal Renn and Hilary Rhoda.

Fashion Week chatter this season revolves around the relative calmness and the laid back atmosphere. While September is always crazier – like a return to school after summer break – February takes a bit of a softer approach. It’s cold, the winter’s biting, and layers of sweaters, scarves, and hats make it hard to dress.

But last night’s party to celebrate Z Spoke and Purple magazine at the Boom Boom Room was anything but calm. It started off timid enough, but within an hour, every single inch of the top of the Standard was crawling with fashion insiders and celebrities from Alexander Wang to Jared Leto. The festivities began at Mr. Chow, where a few of Zac’s go-to girls, including Eniko Mihalik and Anna Cleveland celebrated the designer’s latest accomplishments, but moved to the Standard for late night dancing and revelry. Moving around the party required a serious bit of effort given the sheer number of people who were looking to party, but within the crowd, we spotted Constance Jablonski, Heather Marks, Karlie Kloss, and Lily Donaldson. By the time we decided to call it a night, there was a swarm in coat check, and we found ourselves stuck in line with Crystal Renn. Ending the evening chatting with her about Paris and joking about the coat mix ups was kind of the perfect way to end a Fashion Week evening. Or any evening, actually. ~ Bianca Posterli
