Last night, Hudson Jeans invited fashion insiders and bloggers to their showroom for a little get-to-know party, complete with new denim designs which are sure to be found on the must-buy list of fashion lovers all over. Modelinia fell in love with their showroom, which boasts massive posters of Georgia May Jagger, and a pair of skinny jeans with a zipper straight up the back of the legs. We caught up with Ben Taverniti, Hudson’s head designer, to talk about the model of his denim eye - Georgia May Jagger.
How does Georgia May Jagger epitomize the Hudson girl?
It’s all about her genes – literally and figuratively. Our brand DNA is about being born in California but rooted in London … And Georgia’s dad is Mick Jagger, British rock royalty, and her mother, Jerry Hall, is American.
What was it about her that drew your attention?
Her style, attitude, and confidence.
What’s your favorite memory of working with her thus far?
We were in the middle of a line presentation with our PR company and Georgia arrived to my next meeting with her a little early…Our first time meeting…She previewed the line and immediately gravitated to the jean that I had specially designed for her as a one off and loved it. She tried them on and they looked amazing on her. Needless to say, I was smiling.
Where are you hoping the relationship between Hudson and Georgia May Jagger goes in the next few years?
Evolving the brand together with her…All the while having it be real and true to who she is and who we are.
What are you most excited about for the future of Hudson jeans?
To see the brand evolve into a ‘way of life.’ Nothing would make me happier.
