If there’s one thing Mark Badgley and James Mischka know more than glamour, it’s what sells. The duo showed both their namesake collection and their lower-priced contemporary line, Marc & James, Tuesday morning at the Tents, but separated them into two shows for a fashion double feature. The first offered an expected assortment of gorgeous eveningwear, strapless and one-shoulder numbers in dreamy blush organza and midnight chiffon. Siri Tollerød, Arlenis Sosa, Imogen Morris Clarke, and Mathilde Frachon looked like little starlets in their gowns, but during the second act rocked salable daywear dipped to the hilt in silver, gold, and sequins. By the end, the Badgley Mischka girl had come to fruition. Don’t be surprised to see a few of these pieces making red carpet appearances very, very soon. ~ Tim Mitchell
