The Material Girl Has Arrived!

With rock star power and high-voltage beauty running through her veins, Georgia May Jagger looks right at home hanging out backstage for her latest ad campaign for Madonna’s Material Girl clothing line.

For the fall collection, Madonna and co-designer daughter, Lourdes, tapped the London cool-girl to embody the “ultimate VIP”guest at the Queen of Pop’s 2012 MDNA world tour.  Shot during the actual rehearsal stages of the tour  at the Nassau Coliseum in May, the rock n’ roll Brit is featured leaning against amps, hanging out between the wardrobe racks, and posing onstage in front of what appears to be a sold-out arena- all routine past-times for this music scion.  After all, Georgia is the daughter to rock legend Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones, and model Jerry Hall.

“I spent a lot of my childhood backstage hanging out around amps,” said Georgia. “That was where we chilled when we were younger.  So this photo shoot brought back a lot of memories.”

The original Material Girl was just as thrilled to have Georgia on set of both her concert and her junior’s clothing line sold exclusively at Macy’s as part of a venture with Iconix Brand Group.

“We think Georgia May has great style and perfectly captures the Material Girl fall line,” said Madonna.

The 20-year-old model was hand picked by Madonna and Lourdes to replace Kelly Osborne as the face of the young brand, which includes apparel, shoes, lingerie, and beauty products.  The sassy VIP ads are set to hit the August issues of Seventeen, Teen Vogue, People StyleWatch, and Cosmopolitan, and will coincide with a national sweepstakes that will give away pit tickets to the MDNA tour at its U.S. shows.

“Georgia is a natural beauty with rock n’ roll in her genes,” stated Dari Marder, chief marketing officer at Iconix.  “She could not be a more natural fit for Material Girl.”  Well put Mr. Marder!
