As of Monday, February 8, the Model Lounge New York will have a new address. The hangout spot, created as a retreat for female models in between castings, is saying goodbye to Soho and hello to Union Square: Their new location will be in the Union Square Lounge at the restaurant Coffee Shop.
Pre Fashion Week, events at the lounge will be hosted by Creative Recreation while Fashion Week at the lounge will be presented by UGG Australia. “There is nothing like it,” says lounge creator Bernard Smith. “The lounge will be decked out in UGG shearling rug, framed imagery, and more. And girls will also receive UGG footwear.”
And since a girl has got to get to work, the Model Lounge is fixing it so they have a ride. Girls will be escorted around town from show to show in a fleet of stylish white Cadillac Escalade Hybrid and Modelinia is riding shotgun, so look out for our Model Lounge coverage during Fashion Week! ~ Fabiana Santana
