Though many are just beginning to deal with holiday shopping panic and gift dilemmas, magazines are already looking forward to the New Year. But this date change is something special, as it’s an introduction to a new decade! And a few models are here to welcome you into 2010.
Appropriately dark and stormy for the gray weather of winter is Laetitia Casta on the cover of Vogue Paris, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The deep green of her top paired with a black deep-V jumpsuit and her red tresses give it the perfect holiday feel. And for just a bit more model moments, the new calendar features Natasha Poly, Raquel Zimmermann, and Iselin Steiro harping on the disco days.

Caroline Trentini is keeping the seasonal depression away, as her cover for Numéro Tokyo is anything but dark. Mix a yellow dress with her blonde locks and a rainbow title and snow showers are suddenly gorgeous flurries mixed with holiday spirit. While Caroline takes on the neon trend, it’s an ’80s feel for Cover, and the magazine’s gone a little blurry with Kim Noorda, but it’s the slightly hazed glow that we’re in love with, plus her enrapturing stare.

Daria Werbowy’s face is wrapped in the G of Vogue Nippon, and though the colors are neutral, it’s her pose that sings, which Inez & Vinoodh captured. There’s the off-duty street-style slouch she’s amazing at, paired with a perfect crook in her knee to show off the loose and flowing satin Chloé pants that really only very few can pull off.

Finally Lily Cole continues her domination in the lead up to her new film, this time gracing the cover of Elle Canada as captured by Rankin. Meanwhile, there’s a Catherine McNeil cover for Vogue Australia to look forward to…
