We’ll admit it: Modelinia listens to Rihanna’s Only Girl (In the World) on a near daily basis. Who doesn’t love a catchy girl empowerment song, after all? With our addiction to Rihanna’s latest and greatest musical moments, we’ve noticed something about her.
Along with Rihanna’s transformation from bubbly newbie on the scene to a fashion and music powerhouse, she’s shown her model love and admiration in more than a few ways. First she donned a Mickey Mouse hat just like Chanel Iman, then wore a seriously studded number which called to mind Abbey Lee Kershaw’s costume from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and even requested the assistance of Laetitia Casta for her music video to pair with Te Amo.
Now, with Rihanna’s music video for Only Girl (In the World) we’re noticing a little bit of a Sasha Pivovarova imitation. Did you notice the red hair while lounging in a field of flowers? Quite similar to the above shot of Sasha by Camilla Akrans, no? The only thing that’s missing is that massive diamond brooch in Sasha’s hair.
Since Modelinia’s mother always said that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, we’re going to assume that Rihanna’s a huge model fan, and for that, we love her even more.
