In March 2007, the Texas born, plump-lipped beauty, Ali Michael, opened the fall 2007 Lanvin show in Paris. About a year later, she was sent home from the Paris shows after her legs were pronounced “too plump” for the runway.
Since then, Ali spoke on the Today Show to discuss the pressures of staying thin in the modeling industry, and appeared in a number of editorials and campaigns including Coach in 2009. Her runway appearances however, have decreased drastically since 2008, skipping the entire 2010 and 2011 seasons.
Today, Terry Richardson featured photographs of Ali on his blog Terry’s World, where everyone from Karlie Kloss to Natasha Poly have made an appearance. Looking as gorgeous as ever with her bold eyebrows, almond eyes, and pouty lips, we’re crossing our fingers that this means the return of the model who was once personally congratulated by Anna Wintour for her success on the runway.
