The Show Must Go On

Despite the negativity surrounding Dior and John Galliano as of late, the show went on as planned. Crowds swarmed the outside of  Musée Rodin, in attempts to gain access to the last collection with Galliano’s touch, providing a complete mob scene.

Inside, after CEO Sidney Toledano expressed his emotions and opinions regarding the news of Galliano’s behavior, the show went on as planned. Per usual, Karlie Kloss opened the runway, commanding her regular stage presence with her attitude and behavior, followed by Jourdan Dunn, Anais Mali, and Jessica Stam.

Once they took their struts down the Dior runway, Coco RochaDorothea Barth Jorgensen, and Martha Streck took to Twitter to express their emotion regarding walking in the show, and the experience it turned out to be.  And emotional it was, as the entire Dior design team came out onto the runway during what is usually the designer bow. Dressed in white lab coats, the usually unseen faces behind the brand accepted their due applause, ending what will always be remembered as a pivotal moment in Dior’s history.
