After hanging with Zac Posen and Coco Rocha during Fashion’s Night Out, we knew we’d see Coco on his runway yesterday. What we didn’t expect was for Coco to both open and close the show (brava, Coco!) and to also see so many other major models walk the catwalk. Sessilee Lopez, Constance Jablonski, Lindsey Wixson, Siri Tollerod, Eniko Mihalik, and Suzie Bird were some of the more notable names from Posen’s run of show, while Laura Love, Bonnie Chen, and Theres Alexandersson were a few of the newer, in-demand faces.
The collection was one of Posen’s best yet. Showcasing his impeccable dress making skills, the collection aired on the elegant and sophisticated side - something we haven’t seen from Posen in awhile. One of the looks worn by Coco was a show-stopping floor-length mermaid gown made of duchesse satin in an unexpected charcoal hue. The palette was, for the most part, moody and on the darker side and it was this combined with the breathtaking silhouettes that reminded us just how innovative and talented Zac Posen is.
