Over the summer, model lovers had two choices to beat the heat: visit the Costume Institute’s “The Model as Muse” exhibit, or head to the International Center of Photography for a look at Richard Avedon’s amazing images.
Sadly, “The Model as Muse” closed on August 9, but ICP’s exhibit “Avedon Fashion 1944–2000″ is open until September 6. And we’re thrilled to report that the Museum of Modern Art now has three dozen photographs by Avedon available for viewing. These include memorable snaps of Twiggy as well as Veruschka in a Bill Blass dress. Get thee to the museum and study your History of Models!
