The Super High Continues with Amber and Christy

We’ve said it once, but we’ll repeat ourselves: It’s seriously a super return. With the Met’s Costume Institute Gala coming up, the iconic Vogue May 2009 issue, the Harper’s Bazaar model-obsessed April 2009 issue, and with all the focus on the model as muse, it’s not surprising that everyone’s minds are on the greats of the industry.

Anna Sui recently reflected on her very first runway show, explaining that her relationship with Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista began back in 1991.The model duo championed other models to participate in Anna’s first showing, which just goes to show that having Steven Meisel as your best friend goes a long way in this industry.

Meanwhile, Stefano Pilati chose his new girls for Yves Saint Laurent Fall ’09 campaign, which was shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. This year Christy Turlington is back for the brand, following in the poses of fellow supers Naomi and Claudia Schiffer from past seasons.

What’s more, Amber Valletta is said to be collaborating on a women’s clothing line, though she gives no details as to just who she’ll be working alongside. More on that will be disclosed this summer.
