Known for her fun yet conservative and sophisticated designs, Tory Burch presented a collection yesterday that puts a woman’s black suit in the back of her closet and allows her to wear more colorful, fashion savvy ensembles that are still entirely work-appropriate. Over the years Tory Burch has become one of the biggest household names in fashion and her model line-up this season emphasizes just how commercial she’s become. Arizona Muse opened the show in a simple bittersweet red polka dot dress with ruffle detailing and white brogues. Lindsey Wixson, Ruby Aldridge, Jourdan Dunn, and Daria Strokous also walked the show in equally simple, yet chic outfits. The collection broke into full-length gowns by the last three looks, and Kate King closed the show in a bohemian inspired maxi dress that could just as easily be worn on the red carpet as it could to a beachside fiesta.
Blurring the line between daywear to evening attire, Tory Burch’s Spring 2012 collection is made for the working woman with a busy weekend schedule and her own sense of style.
