Remember when we told you about the massive Swimsuit issue that V Magazine was putting together? Here’s a first look at two of the six covers of the Summer 2009 issue, shot by Mario Testino. Eva Herzigova puts on her best Marilyn Monroe while Naomi Campbell is a Playboy bunny, but the last four covers are still to be seen. The two supers share the front of the glossy with Claudia Schiffer, Kate Moss, Gisele Bündchen, and Daria Werbowy.
Here’s a video preview of the magazine to hold you over till May 6, when they’ll all be available on newsstands, and a below is a sneak peek at the Chanel Iman editorial, where she is photographed by Cameron Krone wearing Marc Jacobs. She talks about how her name came to be, her tattoos, and her original career path.
“’Chanel’ comes from a book on Coco that my mom was reading when she was pregnant. She admired how Coco triumphed over struggles.”
“[My mom] actually wanted me to play basketball. My father is a basketball coach, so I grew up playing ball. I was really good.”
