Wake Up with Heidi Klum

Early mornings are not Modelinia’s favorite time, but when there’s a supermodel involved in the a.m. hours we’ll make an exception. So clearly Heidi Klum appearing on Good Morning America would count for one of those instances. She chatted with Diane Sawyer about the new season of Project Runway, which is based in L.A. this year, and was thrilled that the location meant fresh new celebrity appearances.

As you already know, Heidi’s a huge fan of shortening her skirts and dresses, but sometimes those chop sessions get in the way. “Most designers get a little annoyed when they get their samples back and they’re, like, much shorter. A lot of the times, too, I don’t think about that I have to sit in my director’s chair on Project Runway and then I make them too short and then I’m pulling all day, regretting.”

Along with the chat about her upcoming little girl, Heidi admitted that Seal sings “Puff, the Magic Dragon” to the kids, while the supermodel and her mom sing in German. Plus, since Heidi had never actually seen the Saturday Night Live skit with Amy Adams impersonating her, Diane gave her a quick glimpse. “Do I really sound like that?” Heidi questioned. “That makes me wonder. I don’t think my accent is really that strong anymore. I’ve been here since ‘93…. It’s always surprising when people imitate you.” Imitation is the best form of flattery, Heidi.
