One thing to remember with tattoos? They’re quite permanent.
Jean Paul Gaultier took the idea of tattoos but put a temporary spin on them for his show. And the designer made it that much easier for editors and stylists to keep on track with the models and looks: Instead of looking up and down at your notes, missing the girls sashaying down the runway, the deisgner took the guesswork out of the way and gave his models temporary tattoos of their names.
Lakshmi Menon’s name went down her chest bone, while Ali Stephens had her three letters straight down her arm, and Iris Strubegger’s first name took up her cheekbones. It’s not the first time this inspiration has made its way into the model world. Just take a look at the back of Chanel Iman’s neck when she has her hair up.
