We know, flowers for couture: how original. But when John Galliano does floral, it’s exactly that.
For the Fall 2010 Christian Dior couture show, John sent his models down the runway looking exactly like living flowers, but while some designers are simply inspired by the beauty, he was moved by the intimate details of the plant’s existence. With an extensive study of floral color changes and motion, John Galliano designed a couture collection full of decadent colors, ruffling, and enough taffeta to keep any girly-girl happy.

House favorite Karlie Kloss opened the show, followed by Jessica Stam, Joan Smalls, Frida Gustavsson, and Kim Noorda. From their massive updos to the delicate tulip shape of the gowns, models were truly transformed into living, breathing floral arrangements.
