Over the Thanksgiving break, England kept fashion news going, as they announced the nominees for the 2009 British Fashion Awards. While brands like Burberry, Pringle of Scotland, and Mulberry are named for their excellence, it was the model section we had our eyes and focus on. And just as suspected, the BFA chose three models majorly in the press right now and garnering attention for their homeland. Fresh faced and gap-toothed beauty Georgia May Jagger, Daisy Lowe, and Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have earned the nominations for Model of the Year. Who will you be rooting for to win on December 9?
But those aren’t the only models in the running. This year there’s a special one-off award, called the London 25, for the individuals who have accomplished the most over the year, which the public can vote for here. Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, Twiggy, Yasmin Le Bon, Naomi Campbell, and Erin O’Connor stand to make the list alongside David Bailey, Stella McCartney, and Vivienne Westwood.
