With the bare white branches and powerful drum-banging of the live band, we felt as if we were in a scene from Where the Wild Things Are at Cynthia Rowley’s show yesterday afternoon at Gotham Hall. Models stormed down the runway in everything from feathers to fringe to lace, creating a girly yet bold vibe that was perfectly complemented with their color-streaked crimped ponytails. Modelinia was thrilled to see the seasoned Alana Zimmer as a member of the tribe, wearing a “furocious dress of silk twine” as the second look in the show, and newcomer Ranya Mordanova looked striking—as usual—in a gray-and-white printed dress. Complete with accessories made from puffer fabric, these ladies were definitely ready to brave any wild thing. ~ Kristin White
