Looks like this year Victoria’s Secret is placing even more attention on the wings for the fashion show - and for good reason!
Between the six different sections of the show, (”Tough Love,” “Wild Things,” “Heavenly Bodies,” “Game On,” “Pink,” and “Country Girls”) the audience is set to enjoy a wide variety of winged decorations. ”We really went all the way this year with the wings - with scale, with concept, and with the amount of them. Whenever you think we can’t possibly do more, that’s when we do,” said costume designer Todd Thomas.
Both Izabel Goulart and Lily Aldridge are earning their first pair of wings this year, which obviously incited major excitement and emotion at their fittings. Lindsay Ellingson will be donning a 5-feet-wide pair of wings made from wheat, straw, and corn in the country girls portion of the show while one lucky model will close the show in Gaga inspired wings that will blow bubbles on the runway!
And as for the Fantasy Bra moment? Adriana Lima will be strutting her stuff down the glitter catwalk wearing $2 million in jewels and this feathered, hand-dyed ombre set of wings, inspired by fireworks - a nod to Katy Perry’s song, we presume!
