Yasmin Le Bon took the runway yesterday at Stephane Rolland’s haute couture show with two male escorts by her side, however these escorts were not for show (though they did look good); Yasmin needed their assistance down the runway because she was wearing a 110 pound dress! This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about a seriously heavy item coming down the runway (remember Alessandra Ambrosio’s 40 pound wings at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show?) but this dress certainly takes the cake.
The silk jersey gown was ornamented with red metal plates and a 147.5 foot train that fishtailed out as she made her way down the catwalk. And if all that doesn’t sound hard enough, check out the heels she’s wearing! With a platform like that, we can only imagine the heel is at least 5-7 inches high. Only a pro supermodel like Yasmin Le Bon could carry something like this off so effortlessly while simultaneously making us love a 110 gown! Way to go Yasmin!
