Yigal Azrouël’s Spring 2011 collection featured modern silhouettes in bold blacks, pale oranges, and army greens that were immaculately cut and tailored – a trademark of Azrouël’s designs. Models Tao Okamoto, Alana Zimmer, Marike Roux, and Ranya Mordanova all walked the runway in silky, draped ensembles with streaks of neon oranges and pinks painted across their eyelids, to pair with a wet hair style look that added to the modern theme and angular silhouettes of the collection. Rising runway star Bo Don closed the show in one of our favorite looks, a lightweight black tuxedo that billowed as she moved and oozed sexy sophistication. Overall, Azrouël’s show was not only a runway hit with it’s model show list, but a collection we can only hope to have in our closet next spring. ~ Sonia Evers
