Natural nails seem to be a thing of the past. The nail art trend that originated in boutique salons and on the streets has been taken to new heights by fashion designers aiming to dress their models from head to toe- literally. From neon nail polish to pre-designed press-ons, nail art has taken the fashion world by storm! If you’re not convinced just check out the nail bar that has been erected front and center at your local Sephora. New nail polish brands like CND and Butter London have helped designers turn fingers into works of art that often reflect the mood of the clothes on the runway. One of our New York favorites was the green and white graphic nails inspired by the aerial view of the gardens at Versailles seen at Rachel Antonoff. Meanwhile, backstage at Prabal Gurung, the MAC cosmetic team created a Gothic look that contrasted the light and airy collection with a blood-dripped manicure that was to die-for. We’ve already seen trendsetter Hannah Bronfman testing out this look, so expect to see it on nails near you soon!
