Just a few days ago we talked about the unique look of Italian Model Mariacarla Boscono showcasing the new beauty looks from NARS. Now, here she is again in the just released shots from the YSL Spring 2012 campaign.
She exudes the perfect amount of beauty mixed with a dark side that is very on trend right now—reflecting the style of Lisbeth Salander’s look in the much hyped The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo film. Mariacarla’s pale skin, chopped hair and razor strong features were a bold choice—perfect for this ruffled, yet kinky collection.
Stefano Pilati made the right decision picking Mariacarla as the face of this collection that is highlighting rich jewel tones and bold silhouettes—a huge difference from the pastel and feminine collections we’ve been seeing from the other fashion houses. Photographer David Sims was behind the lens for these shots that will be turning up in your favorite high gloss mags soon.—Renee Lucas
