After winning the Fashion!Dallas/Kim Dawson model search competition, it wasn't long before Ali Michael appeared in an editorial for Italian Elle and debuted on the runways for Fashion Week.
Born Alexander Michael on May 15, 1990, the fresh-faced Texan captured the attention of the fashion industry quickly, and was soon walking on the runways in New York, London, Milan, and Paris. She opened Lanvin during her first season in March of 2007, giving way to a major rise—even Vogue's Anna Wintour wanted to congratulate her.
Since she started modeling at the young age of 15, Ali juggled school and work, graduating on time in 2008, while also landing campaigns like GF Gianfranco Ferré, Sportmax, Lanvin's Jeanne Lanvin, and Coach, as well as appearing in magazines like Vogue, Vogue Italia, Russian Vogue, Teen Vogue, Flair, Spur, Wallpaper, and W.
Just two years after beginning her career, Ali moved to New York permanently to focus on modeling. Though she's a city girl now, Ali still gets homesick for the Lone Star State and still craves her favorite pastime: horseback riding.
