Born and raised in Kiev, Alla Kostromichova’s career started off in the spring of 2008 when she debuted in the opening spot of the Fall Collette Dinnigan show in Paris. In October of that year her career picked up speed as she marched the runways of Dior, Emanuel Ungaro, Maison Martin Margiela, and Yves Saint Laurent in Paris. In early 2009, Kostromichova joined Women Direct, which led her to walk her first New York Fashion Week for Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Doo.Ri, and VPL. Following that, she opened the Fall Alexander McQueen and Yves Saint Laurent shows in Paris; also walking for Balenciaga, Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, and Valentino. After both Style.com & Models.com rated Kostromichova as a rising star, editorial opportunities came rolling in. Alla appeared in editorials for Russian Vogue, V, Italian Vogue, and Interview magazines. Following her opening turns on the Spring 2010 runways of Thakoon and Jil Sander Kostromichova landed her first cover for the fall issue of 10. In February, Kostromichova appeared on over 30 of the fall 2010 runways. Most recently Alla landed the Fall campaigns of Bottega Veneta & Dsquared2. This 23-year-old continues to intrigue us with every runway she struts.
