Astrid Munoz was meant to be a model. Not only was she scouted by an agent, but on two separate occasions. While she was in her native Puerto Rico, Astrid was approached to model in Spain, but her mother shot the idea down and said that she couldn't model until she was older. And while going against your parents' wishes isn't something anyone should condone, when the second opportunity presented itself, she didn't ask her parent's permission, thus starting her modeling career.

Astrid was born in 1974 in San Juan to Teodoro and Astrid, the first of three children. After school, she began to pursue her dream of modeling, and moved to Paris to start working at the suggestion of an agent. 

Paris can do amazing things for a girl's career, and this was certainly true in Astrid's case. While living in Europe, she worked for countless iconic designers and then moved to New York. She's graced the cover of magazines such as L'Officiel, Italian Marie Claire, Vogue España, and Ocean Drive.

To pair with her amazing career, Astrid had a seriously rockstar wedding, which lasted three days and was televised by E! on the wedding celebrities series. But that's not all: Astrid has moved to the other side of the camera. She's picked up photography as a hobby and has since fallen in love with the art form. She even reported for Style.com on Paris Fashion Week as a photographer!
