Eva Herzigova broke into the modeling biz when she was 16 years old after winning a modeling contest in Prague for the Madison Agency. Just 3 years later, Eva landed her first major advertising campaign, succeeding supermodel Claudia Schiffer as the face of Guess? Jeans. The campaign that made her famous was the Wonderbra campaign of 1997.
Eva is an extremely successful model who has a resume that reads like a roster of the top designers and retailers in the industry. What is impressive about Eva’s career is not just the sheer quantity of work she has done over the course of her career, but the incredible range. She has appeared in advertisements for Gap and H&M as well as Louis Vuitton and Burberry. It is this versatility that has contributed to her ability to maintain such momentum throughout her career.
Her work has made its mark on the cover of magazines, in numerous advertisements, and on countless runways. She has been on the cover of Italian, Korean, British, French, and German Vogue, French and Italian Elle, i-D, W, V, Marie Claire, and three consecutive Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues from 1997 through 1999. Her advertising campaigns include Christian Dior, BCBG Max Azria, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, J.Crew, Victoria’s Secret, Roberto Cavalli, and Salvatore Ferragamo. She has graced the runways of Chanel, Michael Kors, Carolina Herrara, Vivienne Westwood, Nicole Miller, Yves Saint Laurent, Chloé, and more.
Eva Herzigova is more than just a gorgeous face with a phenomenal body to match. She is also a mother, a philanthropist, and a designer. In the spring of 2010, she launched a clothing line for the French label Etam. And she recently began working with DKMS, a charity that is on a mission to help children with leukemia. We love that this model turned mother turned designer turned philanthropist is as beautiful on the inside as out, and we can’t wait to see what she does next.
