While she was living in New York, the Austrian beauty was scouted and signed with Elite in 2002, following up that serendipitous moment by walking in the Calvin Klein Spring 2003 show during Fashion Week shortly after. Some things are just meant to be.
Iris was born in Saltsburg, Austria, on July 21, 1984. Though she quit modeling in 2003, the draw of the industry brought her back and Iris signed with Supreme in 2007 to restart her career.
After her comeback, she walked the runways for Balenciaga, Givenchy, Lanvin, Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen, Yves Saint Laurent, and Dries Van Noten to name a few. She's graced magazines such as Pop, Vogue Italia, British Vogue, Vogue Paris, Tush, and i-D. In quite an iconic moment, Iris was featured on the cover of Vogue Italia alongside supermodels Linda Evangelista and Karen Elson for the August 2008 issue.
Between her time on the runway and on photo shoots, Iris enjoys Thai food, alternative rock, outdoor activities like jogging and biking, as well as her expanding interest in photography.
