When you're named Model of the Millennium, you don't forget a face like Jacquetta Wheeler's.
Jacquetta Wheeler was born in London, England, on October 16, 1981, to businessman and political activist Stuart Wheeler and photographer Tessa Codrington. Although Jacquetta signed with her mother agency, Take 2, at age 15, her big break came a year later when the lanky blonde was spotted on the street by Mario Testino, who subsequently photographed her for Vogue Paris.
In 1999 Jacquetta graced the cover of Vogue Italia and became the face of Olay and Gucci; that same year The Face named her Model of the Millennium. Since then, Jacquetta has signed lucrative contracts with Prada, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, and the Gap, and has walked for the who's who of the fashion elite, from Alexander McQueen and Christian Dior to Valentino and Carolina Herrera. With all this success, it's no wonder The Sunday Times named her as one of Britain's highest-paid supermodels.
When not at home in New York, Jacquetta embraces the best part of a model's job description: travel. She lists Morocco as one of her favorite destinations, and even fund-raises for Darna Center for Girls, a Tanger-based charity that provides shelter and education for homeless children and women at risk.
